What's this contest about?:
The object of this contest is to create an original character that could fit into the Tears of Blood universe.

What's Tears of Blood?:
Tears of Blood will be a fighting game, that has a big focus on the storyline and characters. It is a fantasy game set in modern settings. The theme is God, the Devil, angels, demons, humans and their pursuit to better their lives.

What's the story?:
The story is mainly about the character, Luna, who is the child of the devil and an angel. She is wanted by both Satan, and God because she has powers that can change the entire world. Most of the characters in the game are seeking out Luna's capture, in hopes that God (or Satan) will reward them.

What types of Characters does TOB call for?
Tears of Blood is meant to dig deep into the characters stories, personalities, faults, and dreams. None of the characters in TOB are perfect, and many of them have had troubling lives (No room for mary-sues).

What type of appearance do TOB characters have?
TOB is a fantasy story but does not have room for most fantasy-type characters (No hobbits, elves, dwarves, ect.) There are only Angels, Demons, and humans. But Demons can come in many shapes and sizes from completley human looking, to giant monsters. Humans in TOB do not have unique hair colors unless it is fake, nor do they have strange eye colors. I personally don't like over the top characters, so please keep them somewhat simple. The characters should all seem balanced in the end.

Rules:
Design a Character that fits into the TOB Universe
You can submit up to 2 characters, One male, and one female.
Humans in TOB do not have special powers without some type of aid.
All demons in TOB (This includes fallen angels)have crescent shaped pupils.
Send your entry to me in a note
ABSOLUTELY NO CHEATING! Do not copy a pre-existing character, do NOT trace off someone elses drawings! You can use the provided template for the contest if you need to!
You can work with someone else, but you will have to split the prizes.
You can submit multiple pieces of the same character, if you think it will help explain them more.
They can have story with pre-existing characters, but it's best to check to see if it's okay first.
If your character is not first place winner then they belong only to you. You can use them for whatever you want, or allow someone who likes them to adopt them.

Judging:
I will be the judge and will ask for consults from some of my close friends.
You will be judged mostly on how good your character's story and personality are, and less on how beautifully rendered they are.
Please show the whole character, because I may possibly be drawing them in the future.

Your character may be used in the TOB game, and if so, when(and if) the game is released you will receive a bonus.

Second Place:
3 month subscription
2 colored sketches

Third Place:
1 month subscription
1 colored sketch

Submitting:
Send me a note with your submission.
Your submission should include:
A drawing of the character
A written description of the character
The character should have a name
